The ABC Plan of Salvation

In a very complicated, “religious” world, God has made salvation simple, “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). Our salvation experience will be the beginning of our relationship with Jesus Christ. Salvation is as simple as “ABC,” but it must be a life changing experience.

A - Admit that you’re a sinner in need of God.

A relationship with Jesus Christ begins with our admission that we need God. We must admit that we need God to do two things:

 

1.        We need God to forgive us of our sins, those attitudes or actions that don’t meet God’s standards.

      "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

2.        We need God to give us eternal life.

 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

B - Believe that Jesus died and rose again for our sins.

The penalty for our sin is death. God loves us so much; He provides a way for us to escape the death penalty.

 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

C- Confess Jesus as Lord of your life

Confessing Jesus as Lord means to give total control of our lives to Christ. When we give Him ownership of our life, He becomes our new boss.

If we confess Jesus with our mouths and believe in our hearts  that God has raised Him from the dead,  the Bible says, "We will be saved".

 “If we confess with our mouths the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God has raised him from the dead, we will be saved” (Romans 10:9-10)

Salvation Prayer

Dear God, I admit I am a sinner in need of your salvation. Please forgive me of my sins and give me abundant life here on earth and eternal life with you in heaven. I believe Christ is your only begotten Son and that He was born to set me free. I believe that Jesus lived, died and rose again for my sins. I now confess Jesus as Lord and Savior of my life. Thank you for saving me.
